The View is a hidden gem!

In late summer 2022, the current owners took over what was then known as "The Bay Bistro," with a vision to create one of Wales’ finest café, bar, and kitchen venues. Now rebranded as The View, they invite you to join them on their journey to make this coastal retreat a standout destination.

At the heart of their mission is a commitment to using as much fresh, local produce as possible, including ingredients from their very own herb garden, which has expanded significantly this year. In line with their focus on sustainability, they are working to reduce food waste and minimize single-use plastic packaging, all while ensuring that their team’s wellbeing remains a top priority.

Accessibility is also key to The View’s vision. Plans are underway to make the venue even more welcoming and accessible for all, so every guest can fully enjoy their experience.

Located just steps from the path to Rhossili Beach—named one of Condé Nast's Top 10 Beaches in the World—and directly across from the Rhossili National Trust Car Park, The View is perfectly situated for locals and visitors alike.

Though its frontage may seem like a quaint cliff-top cottage, housing a charming gift shop and ice cream parlour, the real magic begins when you step around the side. Here, you'll discover a relaxed café bar and kitchen offering breathtaking views. Inside, you can cozy up by the log burner in winter, while outside, our al fresco dining area invites you to soak in the sound of the waves.

Few places in Wales can rival the panoramic vistas offered here at The View. From Rhossili Beach’s sweeping shoreline to the Loughor Estuary, and even the Pembrokeshire coast stretching as far as Caldey Island on clear days, our location truly lives up to its name.
